- What are your COMLEX Level 1 and Level 2 mimimum score requirements? Is there a maximum number of attempts allowed?
We do not have minimum COMLEX score requirements. We consider all applications and place emphasis on well-rounded applicants. - What are your USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK minimum score requirements? Any maximum number of attempts required?
We do not have minimum USMLE score requirements. We consider all applications and place emphasis on well-rounded applicants. - To be granted an interview, do you require both exams Step 1 and Step 2 CK?
To be granted an interview, we require a passing Level or Step 1 score. - Do you have MDs and DOs?
We have matched DO, MD, and IMG applicants. - Do you have any unique Letter of Recommendation requirements?
We recommend obtaining at least one CORD Standardized Letter of Evaluations (SLOE) from an emergency medicine rotation. As this is a standard within our specialty, applications without any SLOEs may be weighted differently than those with SLOEs completed. Again, all applications will still be considered. - When is your application deadline?
Applications will be considered through December 31 but must be completed through the ERAS system. - At the time of application, do you require the ECFMG Certificate?
Yes. The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requires IMGs who enter ACGME-accredited residency to be certified by ECFMG. ECFMG Certification is one of the eligibility requirements for IMGs to take Step 3 of the three-step United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) which we require all first-year residents to complete before the end of their internship. - Do you require US Clinical experience? If so, how long?
This will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. While we do not have a specific duration of experience, we do strongly recommend US clinical experience. - Do you accept the J1 visa or sponsor H1?
Unfortunately, our hospital system does not sponsor visas or H1 at this time.
